Royal College Room Mothers Association was the brain child of the former Head Master of the Primary section of the Royal College. Mr. H. P. Jayawardhana at the inception, mothers of all students of primary section automatically become members of this Association. This was started with a view to provide a better and more healthy service to students of Primary Section.

They started with Milk Bar, Book shop and Junior canteen. Later the services were gradually extended, to the Middle and upper schools, and now it encompasses the entire College.

The income generated from above services are utilized for the welcome activities of the College. Activities of the association are being governed by a committee selected at the annual general meeting of the mothers and teachers. It is headed by an executive president who is a teacher of the college selecting an executive president was started in 1996.

The first executive president was Mrs. Wickramarathne and Mrs. Pinidiya succeeded her. Some students who are in need of financial assistance for their day to day needs. Refreshment are provided on special occasions such as sports meet, annual "Sil" campaign, annual Road race etc. It is envisaged that the committee will introduce new welfare activities and expand the services already in action specially to increase the quantum of financial help provided to students, productive suggestions and financial Assistance to the association from well wishers are welcome.
